The Expertise Behind Our Care

At the heart of Capital Hand & Wrist Center is its founder, Dr. Jonathan B. Lundy, a board-certified hand surgeon with more than 20 years of experience helping patients overcome traumatic injuries, complex reconstructive challenges, and chronic conditions affecting the hand and wrist.

Dr. Lundy’s medical journey began in trauma and burn surgery, where he witnessed firsthand the life-changing impact of restoring both function and dignity to patients. This passion led him to complete a prestigious hand and microvascular fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in advanced upper extremity reconstruction.

Capital Hand & Wrist Center, led by Dr. Lundy, provides comprehensive care for the full spectrum of hand and wrist conditions. His expertise spans acute injuries—such as fractures, tendon and nerve damage, dislocations, and crush injuries—as well as chronic conditions like arthritis, Dupuytren’s disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, and congenital abnormalities.

Not every patient requires surgery, and Dr. Lundy takes a thoughtful approach—offering advanced nonsurgical care whenever possible, while reserving surgery for cases where it provides the best path to healing and long-term function.

In addition to his practice, Dr. Lundy is actively involved in the Level 2 Trauma Center, where he leads initiatives to advance burn care and improve the management of complex soft tissue infections. His leadership and expertise ensure that patients receive not only world-class surgical skill, but also precise, effective treatment delivered with compassion and respect.

As the founder of Capital Hand & Wrist Center, Dr. Lundy is committed to building a practice where patients receive not only world-class surgical expertise, but also personalized care, compassion, and clear guidance through every stage of recovery—helping them return to strength, movement, and the activities that matter most.

“My goal is always to help patients transition from fear and uncertainty to a place of calm, trust, and optimism.
Healing is about more than repairing tissue—it’s about restoring hope”
